Products We Use Tools By Mark / April 26, 2019 Share Tweet Pin Share Yes, I said MY french press. As all the staffers laugh about it, they still come to me to make the coffee. I gave up making drip coffee unless we have a bunch that want the same coffee all the time. I have a great drip machine, don’t get me wrong, but a good cup of french press sets the day on a good path. My personal favorite french press is at least 15 years old. And it is proof positive that you do not need to spend 300 dollars or more on a coffee maker. Every day for years, it has offered my soul a great cup of coffee every morning. Sometimes I sneak one in the afternoon too. About a year ago I begrudgingly added another french press to the pantry. I tested and then chose the same maker but with an upgrade of 2 filters instead of one. It works great when the grind is a bit too fine as is most store bought coffee. That said, we try as many new products as we can. There are some very fancy french presses, often with fancy features. But for ease of use and cleaning we keep coming back to the Bodum Brazil model. Old school simple design that is very easy to clean. It travels well, and even survives a drop or two thanks to the BPA free plastic housing.Bodum Brazil – This makes 2 LARGE mugs of coffee or 3-4 regular cups
